Let Them Be Heard. Giving Our Students A Voice
Young people have the opportunity to change the world with their actions, creativity, words, and most of all….their voice.  Shannon McClintock Miller has empowered her students and others to embrace and share the things that are important to them.  In this presentation, you will hear the voice of young people as Shannon shares stories of choice, experiences, technology infused creativity, access, space, collaboration, and so much more.
As you prepare for this day and her presentation ask yourself this question….….What is important to you and your learning?  We will answer this question together as we take a look at our learning and most of all….that of the young people we work with everyday.

Who is telling your story? What is the story?

Who is telling your story? What is the story?
Advocacy is the strongest form of storytelling. What is your library story? Who is in your library community and what story will they tell? Support for your library must come from outside the library. Are you inspiring and delighting your community? What about curating and sharing their best stories and ideas; creating a space to promote your library, activities, and events? Let’s talk about effective strategies that will result in advocating what is important to you, but more importantly your entire school and community.
